Feedback from our Nurture Sessions ❤️

Thank you Children in Need ❤️🐴❤️

Tom(*name changed ) absolutely loved his equestrian therapy sessions and looked forward to them every week. It quickly became a huge motivator for him as he knew that if he tried his best and managed his emotions during the week, he would have this special reward to look forward to.

He spoke very highly of Maggie, who was calm, patient, and understanding with him. Her approach helped him to feel at ease and build confidence. He enjoyed learning about how to care for the horses, particularly Flicker and James, who quickly became his favourites. He also loved interacting with the smaller animals such as the guinea pigs, which gave him a sense of calm and responsibility.

This experience has had a really positive impact on his self-esteem and emotional regulation. The gentle and structured nature of working with animals has helped him develop patience, empathy, and a sense of pride in his achievements. He displays his rosette that he made proudly in bedroom which serves as a reminder of such a unique experience. It has also encouraged him to take more responsibility, and he is now working towards getting his own small pet at home, something he feels confident he can manage because of the skills he learned through equestrian therapy.

Overall, this programme has been invaluable for his emotional well-being and personal growth. It provided him with a safe, nurturing environment where he could connect with animals, build trust, and experience success, all of which have contributed to a noticeable improvement in his confidence and resilience.
