2023 has been a busy year for Sceap, making great community links, meeting new people and growing!
We would like to thank National Lottery Community Fund, NHS Staffordshire, and the Coop for their financial support. This allowed us to develop our connections in the community, provide additional therapy to those in need.
Some folk ask us what happens in an equine therapy session. Truthfully, it's different for everyone and The Herd always provide a unique experience . They break down barriers, provide opportunities for you to move forward and help you to recognise and manage your emotions. Their intuition is the energy that helps breakthroughs for you.
We have been working with NHS, Action for Children, the Virtual School (for children in the care system), people in recovery from drugs and alcohol and others who find themselves in difficult situations.
The Herd are outstanding in their support and we'd like to thank them for everything they do for us at Sceap. Extra cuddles and brushes a definite for 2024. In addition, we have our pygmy goats, and the star of the show is Deidre who often joins in our sessions, loves snacks, and likes to gallop around the site! She's one of a kind. We also have guinea pigs who enjoy being groomed and cuddled by our guests.
We provide a safe place for people to feel safe and be themselves. We have seen over 1000 guests in 2023 and hope to welcome many more in 2024.
2024 Sceap is planning some monthly workshops. These will be for health and well being and some will focus on people managing Chronic Pain. We aim to provide support and strategies in these workshops. There will also be some for restoring and rebalancing energies ready for the new year.
We will be putting dates up in January.
We would like to thank all of our visitors, old and new and those we have yet to meet. SCEAP and The Herd send best wishes, peace and hope for an amazing 2024.
