Maggie Falconer

SCEAP development 2023

The Sceap Team have been working hard this summer. Two of our team have been studying for their accredited Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner qualification. They attended the 3 day workshop and along with the other students, they are putting their learning into practice with the herd, and other horses.

Their learning has taken them into a deeper relationship with the herd and helped them to practice some of the skills they have been discussing within the continuing course. They are exploring further horse(wo)manship skills and trauma based responses within the setting. The Equine Facilitated Learning is about seeing things from a different perspective and being able to be present with the horses. The herd will give you instant feedback and can help you re-evaluate a situation, allowing you to move forward. The Sceap Team will continue to share and develop together, combining their love of the work with a real passion to find out more about the theory.

Great work, Sally and Claire! Keep going.

In addition to this, Maggie has taken her Level 2 Reike and will be offering 'Reiki in the yurt' as part of the services that Sceap offer. Please do email, Maggie@sceap.co.uk, if you would like to book in for a session.

Maggie is also studying 'The Trust Technique' with James French.

"This work is about deepening the connection between human and animals and allowing true healing to take place. This work recognises the important of the animal-human relationship and how to bridge that connection with regard and kindness. The Trust Technique uses mindfulness and focussed presence techniques as a basis for resolving problems and enhancing communication. " Trust Technique 2023

Maggie is working towards this qualification with a focus on deepening her connection with the herd and improving communication and listening skills.
