Sceap would like to send a massive thank you to Staffordshire Carers for the funding they have given us to help us to support the carers in our community.
Sceap wants to offer the opportunity to carers to come along to a drop in session, sit back and relax in a safe and caring environment. They will be able to enjoy a brew with other carers, chat with the Sceap Team, who will always be on hand to help, and to meet the Therapy Herd. The Herd will provide the much needed support for the people who are always caring for others. The horses recognise when people need to clear their minds and find some self-care. They will be able to work with the horses, groom them and identify who they have a strong connection with.
The carers will also be able to just relax in the barn, enjoy the stunning views across the hills, be surrounded by nature, and interact with the animals if they wish to.
In addition, there will be the opportunity to take part in some creative and reflective activities both with the herd and in the barn with art resources.
Anyone who knows a carer who needs some time of their own, please contact info@sceap.co.uk. The group will run on a Thursday morning 10:00-12:00 from Great Eaves Farm, Eaves Lane, Bucknall ST2 8LY.
